Position: Assistant Executive / Executive – Purchase
Department: Purchase / Procurement
Industry: Manufacturing
Experience: 2–4 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical / Electrical preferred
Job Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day purchase and procurement activities.
- Identify and coordinate with suitable vendors and suppliers.
- Source quotations, compare prices and negotiate with vendors.
- Prepare purchase orders and follow up for timely material delivery.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor data and documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality and other departments for material requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials as per company requirements.
- Monitor vendor performance, quality, cost and delivery timelines.
- Support cost reduction and vendor development initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical or relevant engineering discipline.
- 2–4 years of relevant Purchase/Procurement experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Good knowledge of vendor management, procurement processes and purchase documentation.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office/Excel.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and vendors.
- Candidates with relevant manufacturing-industry experience will be preferred.
